Here’s my monthly #everydaywarriorinspirationalthought y’all (wisdom inspired by my debut album EW): Purpose. Often times I show up and I have my idea of how I want things to be, how I should be and then, I’m faced with how things are, life, the situation as it is. Different from how I envisioned it. The one thing that brings me back to my authenticity in a heartbeat is tapping into my purpose. Why am I here? Why am I in this space. What did I come to this space to do? To share my gifts? To sing? To create a space for community healing? When I focus on the action of doing that, nothing else matters. Although everything may not fall into place perfectly, at least I am in alignment with my purpose. My purpose is securely in place!!!! I must let God, life, higher purpose use me

Here's my monthly #everydaywarriorinspirationalthought, ya'll (notes to self I share with others): Many are called and MANY are chosen. Screw that other elitist jargon shit! God...life don't choose like the world does and aint that a good thang? We're all called in one way or another and that's why we're here each to do our own special work in our own special way; to answer our individual callings from on high! There was a time when we'd look to one leader, now we must all be leaders in our own way because it takes ALL of us to move this world forward! No more 'chosen few'. For God has chosen YOU and you and you and you...! What has God - life - chosen you to do?

Here’s my monthly #everydaywarriorinspirationalthought (notes to self I share with others): The goal of a terrorist is to get you to lose your footing...in your position in society, in the power of your beliefs, in the beauty of your culture, in your personal power! From your position of insecurity they can then feel like they have power. Can you imagine what it must be like to be a white supremacist in a world that is rapidly changing and transitioning away from all the bullshit they stand for (benefitting from a mindset that sees them as superior to other human beings)? They scared AF! The world is a fearful place for them right now and their goal is to spread that fear. The best thing you can do is to continue to get even more deeply grounded in who you are. They will not win. Because the truth is, they have already lost and they know it. The majority of the people in this world see beauty in the huge and expansive diversity that is now on the horizon for this country. Let that inspire you to stay grounded in these times; to fight back in life affirming ways, socially, politically. When despair and fear and sadness and anger and grief from losing precious irreplaceable lives can grip us and shake us to our core, let’s grieve - Dear God let us grieve - and let’s also be inspired by the good people in the world and unite and work with them. For the good people have always been the true usherers of positive change. Stay grounded and vigilant, for that is where your power is!

There are things in my life sometimes that are damn near perfect; that go off just as - sometimes better - than I envisioned them. 
But, moments, people, even I don't always have to be perfect in the way that I think they should be. There are times when things can only be perfect in the way that they are.

Here's my monthly #everydaywarriorinspirationalthought, ya'll: (Notes to self that I share with others) New year, new you, right? New and improved version? You've been updated and upgraded, right? Hallelujah!!! The reset button has been set, right? The slate has been wiped clean! Much respect to everybody’s journey, but...Sheeeeeeeit! Listen, truth is, I don't know about you, but I woke up this morning on New Year's Day pretty much working on the same stuff I was working on New Year's Eve - I am God's beautiful work in ongoing progress and process - and that's good. Yes, there are always ways that I can get better, ways that I can improve myself and ways I can I renew myself! That's EVERY day...so I breathe and release the pressure - ohhhhhhh the insane and irrational commercially driven pressure to be magically transformed when that ball drop every year! Oh, a new calendar year feels good; this morning felt magical; there's something magical about looking back and looking forward and committing to more growth...but I keep in mind that God is transforming me E V E R Y day on a timeline that exists beyond this world! So, if anybody woke up with it NOT feeling magical, that's okay, cause your evolutionary timeline is not set by this world, but by Godforce! So, however you woke up this morning, it's okay...it’s a part of your path; keep living and walking your path! We gotta respect the timing of our own unfolding!

Here's my monthly #everydaywarriorinspirationalthought, y'all: Sooooooooo many things going on in my life and in the world!!! Whew, Lord! Lol But, that means that there are so many opportunities to evolve, right? Yes! So I evolve...sloppily, messily, uncomfortably, beautifullly, wildly, gracefully, kicking and screaming, praying, clapping, laughing, crying, knowing that evolving is for the better; it is what I am here to do! Affirmation: I consciously celebrate my evolution all day everyday and I practice taking care of myself and enjoying and being grateful for the journey - when possible - through it!

Here’s my monthly #everydaywarriorinspirationalthought, ya’ll: 
Don’t let a someone who doesn’t meditate, doesn’t pray, isn’t actively working to be a beneficial presence in other people’s lives, has no practice for self reflection, doesn’t call themselves on their stuff get you all swept away in their energy, throw you off center or mess up your day! 
Stay woke! And stay rooted in your soul and the work you are doing in your life. Your ancient, timeless soul has weathered society’s battles before. What is happening present day is nothing new for the soul. So, there’s no need to get swept away by it all. Stay rooted and grounded, child! For you are a part of a continuum of work to raise humanity to a higher standard on this planet that's been on going for centuries. What is happening now is nothing new! Yep! So, we must pace ourselves, be about our work and stay rooted in our souls!

Here's my monthly #everydaywarriorinspirationalthought, ya'll: "You're life will only become (BLANK) when you do (BLANK)!" I let go of these statements, these ultimatums, these 'only when you do this, when you master that will you be able to enjoy that-isms'...It’s almost like saying I have to be 'perfect' or Master some philosophy before I have a life anything remotely close to being wonderful and fulfilling, which is totally untrue! Life calls my name and I come running with all my stuff, all of my baggage, all of my quirks; all of my darkness and all of my light...ALL OF ME! Yep! There is such a thing called 'grace'; And, baby, it's called "amazing grace' for a reason. Because it reminds me that I DON'T HAVE TO FIX MYSELF BEFORE LIFE IS GOOD TO ME! OH, BABY, YES, I’M ALWAYS WORKING ON BECOMING A BETTER VERSION OF ME BUT GODS GRACE IS GOOD TO ME NO MATTER WHAT VERSION IT SEES! I DON'T HAVE TO FIX MYSELF BEFORE I CAN PARTICIPATE IN LIFE! GODFORCE USES ME AND LIFE BRINGS WONDERFUL THINGS, WONDERFUL PEOPLE AND WONDERFUL EXPERIENCES TO ME JUST AS I AM. AND JUST AS I AM GROWING, TOO! Yep! AFFIRMATION: I am the ultimate person without meeting ultimatums. Godforce is willing to take me on an incredible journey a l w a y s JUST AS I AM at any given moment w/ no stipulations!
